Star Trek personality test

Wil pointed to a Star Trek Personality Test based on the Myers-Briggs system. I wasn’t sure what to expect for an answer, but apparently the author did a surprisingly good job of translating the Myers-Briggs questions to a Star Trek format, as I ended up scoring as an ISFP — the same result as when I took an online version of the actual Myers-Briggs test!

Anyway, here’s what the Star Trek test said about me…

DS9's Bareil VOY's Doctor

Myers-Briggs would say that you are an ISFP (Introvert, Sensor, Feeler, Perceiver). In Star Trek language, you share a basic personality configuration with Bareil and The Doctor.

People like you are a complex blend of empathetic and realistic. You’re kind, thoughtful and affectionate with those you know well, though strangers may find you reserved. When you’re comfortable, you can be quite humble and gentle with others. When threatened, you tend to shut down. You adapt well to the needs of others without compromising yourself, achieving peace and usefulness with your environment. You’re very down-to-earth.

You’re faithful, but highly sensitive to criticism. You get your feelings hurt easily. You like to help others in practical ways and dislike confrontations.

If you’re a strong introvert, you tend to be quiet and soft-spoken. If you’re more extroverted, you may over-compensate for shyness.

Your primary goal in life is feeling peaceful and harmonious with the people and places that matter most to you. Your reward is to be accepted and loved just the way you are.

Good careers for your type include primary care physician, interior designer, massage therapist, chef, and alcohol and drug addiction counselor.

Yup. That’s me!

(Interior designer?)

Star Trek Personality Test — Results Myers-Briggs would say that you are an ESTP (Extrovert, Sensor, Thinker, Perceiver). In Star Trek language, you share a basic personality configuration with Geordi La Forge, Montgomery Scott, and Tasha Yar.

People like you are generally highly observant and totally present in the moment. You’re active and adventurous, so you can sometimes be impulsive, even when confronted with danger. You’re not interested in regrets, however, if your impulsiveness causes you to make an error. You’re a free spirit.

You’re very adept socially and easily make friends, especially when people are honest with you. You’re talkative and adaptive to people and situations, though you prefer to be casual. You can be logical and calm, but you love to have fun. You’ve got a great sense of humor, and you’re charming whenever you want to be.

You’re also quite literal, a practical person who makes good use of your intense curiosity.

Your primary goal in life is the freedom to have fun and to fully experience life in the here and now. Your reward is to be surrounded by people who share your sense of fun and humor.

Good careers for your type include emergency medical technician, corrections officer, security chief, civil engineer, chief engineer, marine biologist, and developer of electronic games.

…This is what I got but I don’t think it worked for me.

Wow…That is so me. And to think, I am a massage therapist. Wow!!!

  4. I tested out as an ISTJ and got Mr spock, Which is highly accurate. I am Highly analytical like he is and got good common sense. Even though I’m slightly more emotional than the character of Spock. He is the closest one to me to resemble.

Beverly Crusher an ISFJ which my Aunt tested out as is inaccurate. My aunt is Sympathetic, Caring, and loving. Beverly is cold, rude, arrogant, and snobby. She is possibly either an INTJ or ENTJ. I have never seen Beverly as Compassionate, but hey it’s a free country and I have the prime directive to state my views.

Bev Crusher is not a representation of an ISFJ. No ISFJ would use big grammer like phlegmatic, prometheus, and antidisestablishmentarianism. No ISFJ would be a cold, stuck up, closeminded person.A more common ISFJ approach would be “I’d love to help you and perhaps go out with you when the jobs done. Beverley is either and ISTJ or INTJ. More ISTJ due to her stuck up, unyeilding rigid nature. I’m an INTJ personally and as an INTJ it is my goal to spot flaws and injustices. But even them I’m not similar to the character because I keep a sharp logical mind not a dull illogical one. She is not a caregiver nor a Feeler. Personally She should be an ISTJ on the Star Trek personality test and move Spock to the INTJ cause at least he has an open mind. Picard should be an Idealist cause he searches for the goo in others. Changes is good, and trust me it makes more sense.

You an say that again. I watch TNG for many years an never saw Md. B.C. as compassionate either. If all of you are fans of this stuck up cunt, you need to get a life man. Way to go bra.
