Has anyone else seen this particular NetNewsWire bug? Every so often when working my way through my feeds, I get a weird display glitch where a section of one post will be repeated over and over in the viewport, with each repetition getting slightly more blurred. A quick click in the display port clears up the display, but eventually this will pop up again. So far, I haven’t been able to pin down any one thing that triggers the glitch — sometimes it won’t happen for a while, other times it happens just about every time I use the space bar to move to the next article. Very odd.
This is under NetNewsWire 1.0.7 (it happened with 1.0.6 too), using the “combined” view and the spacebar to move among unread posts, on a stock dual 2.0Ghz G5.
It appears that I’m not the only one seeing this…I’ve added my own bug report too.

In the previous bug report, it wasn’t happening with the Combined View, it was happening with the traditional view. (Which is unfortunate — I like it when bugs have an obvious common cause.)
If you switch over to the traditional or widescreen view, does this happen there too?
Also, have you installed any under-the-hood hacks (or haxies or whatever)? Are you using Panther or Jaguar?

I’m running Panther, with all recent updates installed.
No haxies at the moment — I had the Unsanity APE haxie installed for a while, but removed it a few weeks ago while trying to troubleshoot another issue I’ve been having. Unless there are some hangers-on from the APE install that I didn’t track down, I should be running a clean system.
I’ll poke around a bit more and get back about whether this kicks in with the other possible views.
I just flipped through some links in the traditional view, and didn’t get the glitch. I then switched to Widescreen view, and while I haven’t gone through many links yet, I can trigger the same (or at least very similar) glitch simply by scrolling the middle headline pane up and down (here’s two screenshots: scrolling down and scrolling up).
A spacebar-triggered scroll in the right hand content pane in Widescreen view also triggers the display bug (screenshot).
I have seen blur/skewing of the kind visible in these screenshots as a result of a NSScrollView being scrolled by a non-integral amount.
Do you have smooth scrolling turned on or off in your System Preferences->Appearance pane? If you change the setting, does it make a difference?
If you scroll in the Subscriptions pane, do you get this effect?
Do you use any other apps that have table views? Do you get this bug in any of them?
