GarageBand is evil
Music February 10th, 2004 |I’ve poked around with GarageBand a bit since I got it, but haven’t created anything major yet. However, it is way too much fun.
It’s also far too easy for me to put together something really, really stupid with it. This is dangerous. Fun — but dangerous.
And here’s the evidence: countrybounce — 71 seconds of banjo and drum loops.
I’m sure I can come up with something better than that given time. But for the moment, this stupid little ditty is it.
Enjoy.
Or don’t.
iTunes: “Must I” by Lizette & from the album This Is (2003, 3:32).

And you need me for What??? That was great for just “poking around!” I’m now afraid that a visit to your place is going to cost me A LOT of money!

Good Lord — I haven’t heard that much fun with that combo of instruments since the break in the middle of “Sexx Laws” [move the clip forward to about three-fifths of the way through].

I’m embarrased to say I noticed this, but that would also sound really good paired off with a fiddle played to the melody of “Dixie.” I’m just sayin’.

You know that was evil. I immediatly sent it to my boss (Bluegrass whacko that he is) and he loved it and came storming into my office wanting to know how I did it.
It was some work, but we finally got Garageband working on my Dell. What a pain, why does Apple make things so difficult?
(The above was a joke, we installed it on a the new powerbook that came in last week…)
