The Grey Album
Music 02/12/2004 |Vocal tracks from Jay-Z’s “The Black Album” + samples from The Beatles’ “The White Album” = Danger Mouse’s “The Grey Album”.
Interesting project, which I’d heard about, but have not yet heard. However, as Danger Mouse (the DJ who constructed this project) has been served with a cease-and-desist order, Waxy.org is hosting the .mp3 files.
I’m downloading them now…

I’ve been listening to this nonstop for about a week since I heard about it on a music group I frequent. I’m really interested to hear what you think about it… being an ex-DJ and all. I like it more for the cut-up Beatles beats (I almost wish Danger Mouse would release an vocal-free version).

I was surprised that the album sounded so good, but that’s because I’m not a big Beatles fan. Too bad about the cease and desist.
