Wow — Sesame Street has been around for 35 years.
My two most present memories of Sesame Street (see if you remember them too…)
“Yup, yup, yup, yup yup yup yup yupyupyupyupyupyupyup TELEPHONE!”
“Around…around…around…around…over, under, and through!”
There’s even a 35th anniversary trivia game on their site, which I did horribly at.
This entry was brought to you by the number 7.
iTunes: “Sesame’s Treet (12”)” by Smart E’s from the album Sesame’s Treet (1992, 5:12).

Actually, I think that was:
“Yup, yup, yup, yup yup yup yup yupyupyupyupyupyupyup BBBRRRING!”
I don’t recall them ever getting the word “telephone.”
My other favorite memory: “Nah, let’s call it Shirley.”
Oddly, I never saw the show.
Well wait a sec. if its 35 and I’m 50 that means I was 15 when it started. I think a little late for me.
And never having children of my own I never had a reason to check it out.
You have, however gotten that damm theme song “How to get to Sesame street” stuck in my head. How do I know it? And why won’t it go away….Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I don’t remember those quotes but Sesame Street is still one of the fondest memories of my childhood. The best thing that came from the show was that I learned to tie my shoes from one of the segments.
The Google and Amazon ads for this page are nothing short of marvelous.
