Watch that apostrophe!

There’s a certain irony in a publication misusing an apostrophe in an employment ad looking for an editor.

Variety.com, the premier online entertainment resource is seeking an Editor for it’s online publication.

    Well, they knew they needed someone! It could have been a matter of “self-selection,” since competent applicants would note the error in their application.

  2. Or it could be that they need an editor to look over the job description. I know which I think is more likely. ;)

  3. When I was younger and hotheaded, I once applied for a job and mentioned an error in their ad. When they re-ran the ad and still didn’t correct the error, I angrily withdrew my application from the company.

    Now that I’m older and generally grouchy, I let such things pass. Perhaps we’re all lowering our standards and settling for mediocre qualtiy. :)
