It’s always funny to hear American’s bitch about oil prices.
Take a look at this page (sorry about the source, but I’m pretty sure the prices are correct). It compares fuel prices across Europe and the USA. Here in Belgium we pay on average 2,5 times more then the US.
It seems like the US doesn’t have a culture of restraint when it comes to consuming fuel. Here car manufacturers advertise over how fuel efficient their cars are and we all buy small(er) cars…
I wonder what effect it would have on oil consumption when the culture of big SUV’s makes a U-turn and all american’s start driving car’s
