Wow! These are beautiful shots.
We had a thunderstorm here on Long Island yesterday as well… wish I had the digital camera…
Lightning was hitting the trees and lightpoles of the parking lot here at my consulting gig… it was quite sureal
Then I had to drive down Stewart River… er … Avenue… another story for the castaways on gilligan’s isle

Does anyone know, do you need to use a slow shutter speed to take decent pictures of the lightning or can I just use a normal shutter speed? I’ve got the choice of a digicam or a 35mm and am not quite sure if either would turn out especially well, but I may as well try, with the beautiful view of Seattle I have for the next few weeks.
Today is great kilt weather, I’d have to agree. Except mine has to be hanging up to dry. Speaking of which, I should make sure it is still hanging. Like you said to me, Michael, I am entirely happy with the purchase.

Spectacular pics there!! Haven’t seen storms like that here for ages and this region of South Africa is usually renowned for thunderstorms, particularly in summer.
