One of the PROJECTS I took care of when I was visiting home was installing a new scanner for dad that had a slide attachment on it. Apparently at some point in the past, someone decided that slides were “the thing”, so dad now has a huge number of slide carousels down in the garage.
Now that he has a scanner that can see them, he’s been going through and adding a lot of old photos to the family photo album. I love seeing these — it’s so fun to go through shots of my folks when they were around my age (or younger — as in this photo, taken at age 20 at their wedding rehearsal dinner).
I’m sure there are more coming, but right now, dad’s added pictures of mom and dad in college, dad in R.O.T.C., their wedding rehearsal dinner, and their wedding.

YIKES! That one of your mom with the guitar took me back. My junior high art teacher used to “relate” to us by striking that pose and playing some Simon and Garfunkle.
It was cool and like she wasn’t trying to put a heavy trip down on anybody’s head. Or something like that. I forgot what she said since I could sit in the back of the room and read the paper instead of doing the work assigned.
Did your dad get to keep the bomber after he graduated?
I am glad you like them, Mike, and I appreciate all your help while you were here. Have you got your scanner going yet?
As you will see as more and more pictures go on, your mom was, what is in today’s venacular, “hot.” I know it is “icky” for children, even adult children, to imagine their parents sexuality, but I was dreawn to her appearance as well as her obvious intelligence, and I still am. I was astounded someone as lovely as she was interested in me - and the trick is, some 40 years later, I still am.
To “pops”: It is hard to tell, but that was actually a KC-135. However, the actual answer to your question, “pops”, is, “Yes!”, as I was twice assigned as an Electronic Warfare in two different B-52 units, one in MI and one in CA.
As hard as it is to believe as you look at these pictures when I was at my thinnist - the AF considered me almost overweight.

Dad
Wow. Twenty-something mom is beautiful.
And your dad’s obvious adoration for her, equally beautiful.
