Dan Rather’s replacement
Humor February 3rd, 2005 |Every so often over the past day or so, I’ve seen headlines like this one — “Schieffer is interim replacement for Rather” — only as I didn’t have a clue who this “Schieffer” person was, my brain would conveniently drop the ‘e’, turning the name into “Schiffer”.
So for the past day, I’ve had the vague notion that Dan Rather’s replacement news anchor would be Claudia Schiffer (Google Image Search link, probably NSFW).
Hey, I’d certainly be more interested.

Completely unrelated to your post, but what’s your email address? eclecticism+michael at michaelhanscom.com either doesn’t work or perhaps I’ve just not given you enough time to reply to the email I sent you, in which case apologies. Just want to make sure I’m sending mail to the right address. Is the ‘+’ part of the email address or am I supposed to take that out so the first part of the email address is eclecticismmichael?
