Seattlest
Life, Links, Weblogs May 15th, 2005 |Something I meant to mention a bit ago, but spaced — I’ve recently become one of the contributing authors to Seattlest, the Seattle-centric group weblog run by the Gothamist empire.
I’m tracking any posts I toss onto Seattlest on my del.icio.us account for quick access, and my posts can also be found via this listing on the Seattlest site. Lastly, here’s my author bio.
Getting involved was actually pretty flattering, as I was actually invited in, thanks to one of the local editors reading Eclecticism and keeping an eye on my Flickr photostream. Hard to say “no” to an invitation like that!

is this a paid gig for you? It’s very nice to see what being fired from a monopoly can do for your blogging life.

Oh, hardly. Just something to do for the fun of doing it and being involved.
Not that I’d complain if they suddenly started offering me money, of course, but I don’t think that’s in the game plan.
(laughs) I doubt that that had much of anything to do with this (except possibly — and I really don’t know — bringing my site to the attention of the guy who invited me in). Seattlest wasn’t around back then, and after a year and a half, there’s not much fallout left from all of that brouhaha.
Which, really, is fine with me.
