Freeline Skates: Because There Aren’t Enough Ways to Kill Yourself Already
Sports 03/15/2006 |Actually, these things are seriously cool. I don’t think you’ll ever catch me actually trying them (I’ve yet to set foot on a skateboard, and I haven’t tried any form of skates — traditional roller, inline, or ice — in years), but they’re still neat. Two skateboard wheels attached to the underside of a small (looks to be about 3” by 4”) board just big enough for your foot. One set for each foot. Skate.

I saw those things… CRAZY. They look like they are SO hard to use properly… even the guy in the video almost falls a couple times when he’s going down the hill.

I was going to say. Over my dead body! But then it struck me, it wouldn’t take me long to reach that condition. So I’ll just stick with… Hell No.

Get a pair, never too old to learn, serious fun, carving, downhill bombing. Best fun and madness ive had in years.

Just got a pair…
First day.. could stand on them and go for a few meters. Second day.. 10 - 15 meters… Third day.. flying around my street..
The technique is a little tricky to get used to but once you do.. it’s great fun.
