Back Home April 30, 2006
We’re back. Family and friends were visited, many photos were taken, fun was had. I’m starting to get photos uploaded to Flickr, though so far I’ve just taken care of Friday’s shots. The rest will have to wait ‘til I’m home from school tomorrow.

Good days and bad days… April 26, 2006
So…Monday was great. Tuesday was pretty standard up ‘til the end, but so far Wednesday just isn’t looking very promising at all.

Potbellied Pig Monster April 23, 2006
While wandering around NSCC before class one morning last week, I took this picture of an interesting looking tree trunk. Once home, both Prairie and I saw a ‘potbellied pig monster’ in the contours of the trunk.

FBiPod? April 22, 2006
The government funded research in microdrive storage, electrochemistry and signal compression. They did so for one reason: It turned out that those were the key ingredients for the development of the iPod.

Storybook Forest April 21, 2006
What actually happened here was that I’d forgotten to switch my white balance away from a custom setting for indoors. However, I actually like the final effect — the gold tones give this an old-timey, almost storybook look to my eye.

Birthday Wishes April 20, 2006
Back in March of ‘03, I stumbled across a series of discs from Sony called the ‘Soundtrack for a Century’. Over time I’ve collected eight out of the eleven pieces of the series, and any (or all) of these last three would be greatly appreciated.

Working from the Guardian’s list of the 50 best book-to-film adaptations, I’m tagging each line with a B if I’ve read the book, and an M if I’ve seen the movie.

Back in 1973… April 19, 2006
The Movie Timeline is the history of everything, taken from one simple premise: that everything you see in the movies is true - the real mixes with the fictitious, so long as it’s reported in a movie somewhere…

Northgate Carnival April 18, 2006
There’s a little carnival in the parking lot south of the Northgate Mall right now. Not sure why it’s there, but we went down to wander around for a few minutes a couple days ago.

Norwescon 29 Photo Extravaganza April 17, 2006
Well, not only did I survive my first Norwescon, but I did it camera in hand. And, since I’m a complete and total photo whore, there’s a few pictures to be seen.

Off at Norwescon April 15, 2006
I’m spending the weekend at Norwescon, so I’ve already missed my one-photo-a-day posting goal. Heh. No big surprise. Here’s one from yesterday at the con, though…

Googling a Dead Horse April 14, 2006
There’s a certain irony in Google’s new Google Calendar supporting the iCal standard for calendar sharing and distribution when — as usual — they don’t yet support the standard Mac web browser.

Mystery Flower April 11, 2006
Since I’m not babbling much at the moment, I figure I can at least (try to) post a picture a night before I go to bed. We’ll see how long I manage to do this regularly.
