Speakeasy can Kiss Off July 24, 2008
At this point, I can strongly recommend against using Speakeasy for personal broadband service. Perhaps they’re still doing well at the business level, but from a customer point of view, they’re really not worth it.

This is Journalism? July 14, 2008
I’ll freely admit that, while geeky, I’m not one who will stand in line for hours for an item I can get faster and easier if I wait a few days. I’m less concerned with ‘firsties’ than with my own convenience. That said — I love the fact that the customer in this video actually calls the reporter on his idiotic ‘reporting.’

Two Phrases July 14, 2008
…how egotistical does one have to be to automatically assume that their respect is so fucking important that one must jump through multiples hoops in order to earn it? How about we give people respect because they are humans with lives and feelings just as important as our own?

Struck by Lightning July 10, 2008
From what i understand, it went through my left hand holding the camera, crossed my back and exited out of my right hand holding onto the metal railing. No entry or exit wounds, just a really good zap!

Encroachment July 9, 2008
Taken near the Old Fishing Hole in Kent, WA. It was a gorgeous day, and the construction equipment looked really out of place against the blue sky and greenery.

More on Pixar (Or, Why I Suck at Soundbites) July 3, 2008
A couple weeks ago, I got an e-mail from Jaime Weinman, who writes for Macleans, asking for a quote for an article she was working on about Pixar’s future. I agreed, and in my usual style, sent her a small book. Proving yet again that I just cannot write for soundbites, my quote was boiled down to one simple line.
