(According to Wikipedia, ‘Al Craver’ is one of the many pseudonyms used by Vernon Dalhart.)

(One of many old 78s in my collection. Dates are approximated as best as possible based on the labels and what information I can find on the ‘net. The sound quality on these is quite variable. I’ve cleaned the worst of the pops and skips as best as I can, but these won’t be anywhere near modern fidelity. Enjoy them for what they are.)

    Hi! This record with Al Craver (Vernon Dalhart) Columbia 15065 D is recorded in Januar 1926. The train crach vas in November 1925.

    Record collector in Norway.

    I THank you for posting this it is very helpful infomation. I do not think I have this one , However I have received over 200- 400 old 78s from the 20s-30s from a friend whos dad purchased them new. I have yet to go through all of them i am sure there will be some rare vernon dalhart but not sureat this point in time which ones are rare. I do have other songs. it is interesting to know that Al Craver was in deed Vernon Dalhart
