Meet Mr. Blooper…

Kermit Schafer, a veteran New York Radio-TV-Film and Recording producer, has won national acclaim for his brilliant capture and reporting of notorious and hilarious lip-slippers, which has made him the definitive authority on the subject. His Blooper albums have become the classics of the record industry and were the first to sell more than a million albums. For this distinction, he received THE CASH BOX Magazine Gold Album Award. His several Gold Medal Blooper Books, published by Fawcet Publications, have also passed the million mark in sales.

Bloopers appear regularly in magazines such as CORONET and McCALLS as well as in newspapers and radio syndication. In addition, many Blooper items are merchandised through Bloopers, Inc.

The fascinating Blooper story is told in his forthcoming autobiography titled I NEVER MAKE MISTEAKS, and which also includes much of his TV background dating back to the first full hour musical he produced on NBC-TV in 1939 for which he later received a “TV Guide Gold Medal Award”. this TV pioneering event preceded his four years in the Air Force in World War II.

Other Blooper projects include BLOOPERAMA an in-person Blooper show which features his fabulously funny Blooper audio and video tapes which are presented by him live in nite clubs and on the lecture circuit…a group of Blooper TV specials…and a series of Blooper TV and Radio commercials.

Much of his Blooper material is received through his international BLOOPER-SNOOPER CLUB which boasts of thousands of members from all over the world. Members pledge their eyes and ears to “Blooper-Snooping” for which they are awarded membership certificates, in addition to becoming eligible for prizes for their contributions.

Blooper fans who wish to contribute material or who wish Blooper Snooper Club information can write to: Kermit Schafer c/o BLOOPER SNOOPER CLUB, 905 Fairway Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, 33141.

Johnny Carson says: “Kermit Schafer’s BLOOPER Albums just great!!”

The material in this recording is authentic and was gathered from kinescopes, sound tracks, video tapes, and other bonifide sources…It is dedicated as a sympathetic tribute to members of the broadcasting industry who have been the victim of these classic boners.
